Dear Chapter Members,

Happy New Year from your MPI Greater Edmonton Chapter Board of Directors!

I can't believe it's already January 2012, looking back we've had a successful first quarter and are extremely excited for what's to come in the new year. We've been working dilligently as a board with a focus on delivering value to you, our members.  

We plan to continue the momentum of our chapter through upcoming educational events, the new mentorship program, and new opportunities for you to get involved.

With this in mind, here are a few highlights of what's coming up this year:

• Education: new programs and formats based on our membership feedback
• Networking: more face-to-face time at all events
• Mentoring: the Greater Edmonton Chapter Mentor Program with new mentor/mentee opportunities
• Giving Back: the ECOS Program; a hands on opportunity to help build a stronger Edmonton community

Lastly our volunteer opportunities, watch for the board of director nomination forms. Volunteering is a great way for your voice to be heard and become involved in the chapter.  If you are interested in assisting in any way or would like to know more about opportunities available, feel free to speak to any of the board members.

We are constantly striving for ways to improve, grow and provide benefit to the members of our chapter. Your feedback is very important to us and we encourage your collaboration in building a strong chapter. As chapter leader, I believe transparency and communication is important; to speak openly with our members and learn what engages you. I look forward to seeing you soon at our upcoming events.
